I want HAVIKWAY to cross countries on foot, but I do not want the project to be measured only in kilometres.
The larger mission is to learn from people, document the world honestly and use the practical skills I have built over the years to help where those skills can genuinely be useful.

HAVIKWAY is designed as a multi-year expedition. That means the mission has to remain useful when plans change, borders close, seasons shift and the route develops in ways that cannot be predicted at the beginning.
Slow enough for geography, people and local context to remain visible.
Understand first. Help only where there is a genuine match between need and skill.
Leave behind knowledge, structure or practical improvement whenever that is realistic.

If HAVIKWAY reaches distant places but creates no understanding, no connection and no useful exchange, then distance alone is not enough.
The mission is to make the road meaningful without pretending that every encounter has to become a project. Some places will change me. In some places, I may be able to help change something small in return.
Over time, that exchange should become one of the clearest measures of the project: not how loudly HAVIKWAY presents itself, but how honestly it learns, contributes and keeps moving without losing respect for the people and places along the route.
