Speed values are sensor records from public fixes. They are not automatically interpreted as walking pace.

uses the latest public
distance_today_km value.
It is not the sum of every database row.
Observation span means time between the first and latest public fixes. It is not claimed as walking time.
Average speed is the average of recorded public sensor values, not necessarily average walking pace.
No public fix does not automatically mean no movement. The feed may simply have no publishable point yet.
A long expedition is made one ordinary day at a time.
